Instrument: Pressenda 1847 (borrowed from Royal Academy of Music)
Graduate of the Sydney Conservatory where he studied with Christopher Kimber. In 2006 he received a CHAOS scholarship and went to London to study with Berent Korfker at the Royal College of Music and Igor Petrushevsky at the Royal Academy of Music. He has been a finalist in the National Youth Concerto Competition, won the Allegro Vivo Kammermusikfestival (Austria) in 2009 and received the third prize in the Canetti International Violin Competition. In 2010 Philip was awarded the bronze medal in the Aram Khachaturian Competition in Yerevan and the second prize in the Osaka International Music Competition. Holder of the Outstanding Instrumentalist Scholarship of the Nelson Meers Foundation. He has performed in Great Britain, America, Japan, Armenia and Australia.
