¹ Although Wieniawski was not a prolific composer, all that is not known about his work, difficult access to many of his works, and a little research that was done, have forced the Editorial Board to issue the consecutive volumes in a different order than had been agreed upon in the general outline of the CWHW edition. The other motive for the priority of publishing one piece before another is its usefulness in the performing and teaching practice.
