Take a walk with Henryk Wieniawski!
He came to Poznań for the first time when he was 19 years old, and for the last time two years before his death. In total, the outstanding Polish violin virtuoso performed in the capital of Greater Poland 18 times.
On Saturday, July 15, we invite you for a walk around Poznań following the footsteps of our Patron, on the occasion of the 188th anniversary of his birth. Accompanied by a guide, Dominik Ohde, we will visit the places where he gave concerts. These will be: the Municipal Theater (currently the Arkadia building at Plac Wolności), the White Hall at the Bazar Hotel (today Bazar Poznański) and the Lambert Odeum Hall (today the Apollo Cinema).
On hour and a half walk, we will hold a competition with prizes!
The event at 12:15 in front of our headquarters at 7 Świętosławska Street and will have its final at the University Hall - the place where violinists compete at the famous International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competitions.
