60 Concerts in 20 Countries on 5 Continents. This is what the 16th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition Laureates’ Concert Tour looks like.

It consists of 30 concerts in Poland and 30 held abroad. The interest in the finalists of the Competition makes the list continuously expand. In Europe, the winner of the Competition performs with orchestras in Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He/She also performs in Asia, both Americas, and Africa. He/She performs at such illustrious concert halls in Europe and in the world, as the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the National Concert Hall in Taipei, the Seoul Art Center, the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, as well as The Liszt Academy in Budapest.

‘We are very happy that collaboration with SONORA agency lets us open a new chapter in the history of Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition. The laureates’ tour program is very impressive. We hope that the concerts will mark the beginning of our winners’ great careers in music,’ says Karolina Kaźmierczak, Director of 16th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition.

‘It’s an honour for us to work with one of the greatest violin competitions in the world. We’re happy we can contribute to the Wieniawski Competition having an even wider reach than before, and as native inhabitants of Poznań we are all the more pleased to collaborate with the Wieniawski Team!’ added Stanisław Suchora from the SONORA agency which coordinates the tour.

While planning the tour ecological considerations were taken into account. The Polish concerts were planned in such a way as to cover the shortest distance realistically possible. The concerts abroad have been grouped so that we can limit the number of flights, or make travel by train possible.

‘Coordination of the tour of the 3 winners, which lasts more than a year, is a true puzzle and a challenge for our agency. Simultaneously, we find the prospect of working with the young participants a great source of inspiration. Such a scale of the venture is only possible thanks to our partners. Excellent institutions from Poland and abroad decided to contribute to this event. Together, we hope the tour will be an award that brings a lot of joy both to the winners of the Competition, and to the audiences,’ says Mikołaj Bylka-Kanecki of SONORA agency.

The concerts are non-statutory prizes of the 16th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition.
