Megumi Shimane



Megumi Shimane (b. 1961) began learning to play the violin at the age of three. She flew to Poznań as a student of the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo in Professor Yoshio Unno's (tutor of four of the laureates) class. Having completed her education, she mainly concentrated on chamber music. For years she has been the first violinist with Ensemble Freesia Jr, which is highly respected in Japan; plays several concerts and makes numerous recordings.
